Objective

Versatility is the name of the game. I spent from 2014-2023 in sports as an anchor/reporter/podcaster and now I am a news anchor/reporter, further deepening my skillset.

News and sports media increasingly require a personal touch. Coming from Minneapolis where sports have been instrumental in grounding a community that has suffered in the aftermath of both a global pandemic and being ground zero for the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder, there are few better ways to build (and rebuild) community than to support a common team, letting the emotional investment and thrill forge new bonds. The wide range of audience appetite goes beyond technical aspects and demands getting to know sports figures on a human level.

I am a creative and curious mind. My forte is not just speaking coherently about the professional, collegiate, high school and amateur sports scenes—it is leveraging personality and curiosity to connect with both community and figures to make the audience feel like there’s a conversation that they’re a part of instead of being merely talked at. It serves an all-around benefit: athletes enjoy being seen as more than a shirt with a number on it (and I’ve had conversations to support this), organizations know we provide an avenue to connect with the casual sports consumer as well as the die-hard fan, and the viewer knows that we diligently provide cross-platform content that will engage, enlighten, inspire and educate them.
