We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented News Media Manager to join our team. This full-time role is integral to the smooth execution of daily newscasts and special projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with producers, editors, and newsroom managers to ensure timely and high-quality content delivery.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee media ingest operations, including digital file conversion, import, and media transfers from third-party sources

  • Coordinate live newscast content, ensuring seamless communication between technical and editorial teams

  • Assign editing tasks to video editors and contribute to editing newscast segments

  • Monitor live transmissions and manage content within the news rundown

  • Provide real-time support and troubleshooting for field crews

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

  • Proficiency in non-linear editing (Premiere preferred) and familiarity with newsroom systems such as AP ENPS, iNews, or Dalet

  • Minimum of 3 years of television news editing experience in a TV newsroom, exercising editorial judgement

  • Flexibility to work any shift, including weekends

 

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

 

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in New York is $119,200 to $159,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
