WFMZ-TV 69 News is looking for an innovative, organized, and decisive Executive Producer to help lead our dynamic team of journalists. The ideal candidate is a newsroom coach with strong editorial judgment, experience managing teams, and a vision for crafting compelling newscasts that connect with our community. What You’ll Do:
Oversee the editorial and production direction of daily newscasts across platforms
Lead producers, anchors, reporters, and photographers to execute high-impact coverage
Work closely with the News Director and Assistant News Director to implement strategy and improve workflow
Guide breaking news, live coverage, and special projects with urgency and clarity
Collaborate on digital and social integration to grow audience and engagement
Review and approve scripts, graphics, and rundowns with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and storytelling
Mentor producers and staff, providing clear feedback and development opportunities
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 3 years of producing experience in a television newsroom
Previous experience in a leadership role preferred
Excellent news judgment and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Strong writing, copy-editing, and storytelling skills
Proven success with live, breaking news and developing enterprise content
Ability to lead with confidence, flexibility, and a collaborative mindset
Familiarity with ENPS, newsroom automation systems, and social media platforms
