Morning Video Editor (B464)

Job Description

WFMZ-TV is looking for a Morning Video Editor to join our award-winning news team.  This is a vital role supporting our Sunrise newscast with high-quality, accurate, and compelling video content.
Responsibilities:

• Edit VO, VOSOTs, packages, and segments under tight deadlines for broadcast and digital.
• Work closely with producers, photographers, and reporters to meet show timing and visual needs.
• Maintain organized media files and follow newsroom workflows.
• Respond quickly to breaking news situations with urgency and editorial judgment.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in non-linear editing systems (preferably Edius or Adobe Premiere).
• Strong understanding of broadcast journalism standards.
• Ability to work early mornings, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in a newsroom or related editing environment preferred.

Schedule:
This is a full-time, early morning shift. Flexibility and reliability are essential.
