Eyewitness News seeks a digital content producer who can create, edit, and produce material for our digital, social, and connected TV platforms! The successful candidate will work in a high-energy, non-stop news environment to help us with breaking news and create compelling content that our users will want to share.
Curiosity and willingness to learn are important. Some of the day-to-day duties include writing stories, producing breaking news, creating original videos, producing live streams, optimizing content for more reach and impact, and helping to create content for social media and engage our audience.
Creating content across current and future platforms with storytelling that is optimized for each screen and reflective of the diversity of our audience.
Use SEO (search engine optimization) and data tools to make editorial decisions.
Managing social and multi-platform content for station accounts
Working with newsroom leaders and other content producers to create synergy across all platforms on station content
Monitor analytics in real-time to assess the effectiveness of content presentation and adjust as necessary
An understanding of social strategy and SEO with the desire to keep up with emerging platforms
Must be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Experience with Adobe Premiere and Photoshop (or similar programs)
Proficient with AP style
Must be willing to work mornings, evenings, and weekends & be in the office at least 4 days a week
Minimum two years experience working in a digital content environment, journalism, or related discipline
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Bachelor's degree in journalism
The hiring range for this position is $59,100 to $95,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
