Reporter - Roanoke metro beat
 
The Roanoke Times is seeking a reporter to cover Roanoke County, Botetourt County, the city of Salem and the issues of growth and development in the Roanoke Valley. The reporter will be part of a team of journalists covering news stories that affect the Roanoke and New River valleys, including local government, education and residential and retail development. The job includes occasional night and weekend shifts. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle and be able to drive to assignments.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree, one to two years of previous experience in journalism. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive own vehicle to assignments. Photo and video experience a plus.
