Job Description:

The Atlantic is seeking a creative, fast-moving producer to help execute our video strategy. This will include regularly translating The Atlantic’s award-winning journalism, including its archives and newsletters, into shareable videos, while upholding the Atlantic’s editorial standards and larger editorial vision. This producer will shoot, edit, and produce social-first video projects, including filming during reporting trips and at live events; maintain consistent and high-quality video output; nurture relationships with audiences on video-first platforms; and analyze key performance metrics. 

This producer will amplify our presence on new and existing platforms, increase our publishing cadence, enhance our visual style, and diversify our video portfolio. The producer will also be expected to keep The Atlantic at the forefront of relevant industry trends and innovations, and seek new publishing opportunities to connect our journalism with wider and newer audiences. This position will also require general audience duties, collaboration across the newsroom, and occasional night and weekend work.
