Job Description:

The Roanoke Times is seeking an energetic, experienced reporter to cover the region’s two major public universities, Virginia Tech and Radford University, as well as local government and business news in Virginia’s New River Valley -- with a focus on Montgomery County, Blacksburg, Christiansburg and Radford. The reporter will be part of a team of journalists covering the Roanoke and New River valleys and will collaborate on regional stories. Must be adept at both writing articles and shooting and editing video and photos. The position includes occasional night and weekend shifts. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle and be able to drive to assignments.
