Objective

I am an award-winning veteran journalist who is seeking a new role that will allow me to use my experience, qualifications and background to contribute to telling compelling and impactful stories in any newsroom. I am bringing over 16 years of experience in radio and television journalism as a reporter, anchor, talk show host and producer to the table. I am the former host of the award-winning Impact Texas show in addition to being the morning-drive news anchor for Cumulus Media in Dallas for the past eight years. 

 

Hosting Impact Texas allowed me to hone my skills as a producer, interviewer, editor and project manager while simultaneously performing my anchor/reporter duties in the newsroom. I covered a myriad of topics including breaking news, politics, courts and crime, community impact issues and lifestyle. In addition to producing and fronting on-air stories and shows, I was also responsible for writing online news stories in AP Style. I am a hard working journalist with a keen ability to connect with people from all walks of life across multiple platforms while meeting tight deadlines.
