Objective
I currently serve as our Weekend Morning and Midday Meteorologist at WKYC: NBC 3 in Cleveland, Ohio. I have been a key player in maintaining our strong weekend morning show ratings over a nearly two year period. To earn viewers trust and establish myself as a reliable, dependable and creditable weather authority, I successfully passed the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (
CBM) written exam and weathercast evaluation, and am proud to have earned their coveted Seal of Approval.
Prior to working at WKYC, I served as the Weekday Morning, Midday and Noon Meteorologist at WTVQ: ABC 36 in Lexington, Kentucky. During that time period, WeatheRate, a company that verifies the accuracy of TV weather forecasts, acknowledged our station as having the most accurate forecast in our DMA – two years in-a-row.
In my near decade long career, I have had the privilege to work in several challenging and active weather environments. In each of my different markets, I fell in love with not only the people of my community, but also with the always-changing and ever-evolving year-round weather. Forecasting, tracking and alerting my viewers about snow/ice threats, thunderstorms and severe weather quickly became a passion. My experience has taught me the importance of being an authority while sharing a compelling, relevant and easy-to-understand forecast with those watching TV, engaging via social media and listening on radio. My passion for all kinds of active weather, along with my energetic and personable forecast style is what I will bring to your Weather Team.
