Associate Producer:
Weigel Broadcasting in Chicago, IL is seeking a highly organized, detail oriented, and hardworking Associate Producer to join the collaborative Weigel Productions Team.
About the Role
· Collaborate closely with producers to support all facets of production for our daily nostalgic themed morning television program
· Serve as the primary point of contact for guests throughout the entire production process, from pre-production through post taping
· Assist producers during studio taping and field shoots
· Coordinate logistics and creative needs with other departments including crew, graphics, and art
What You’ll Do
· Develop, Identify and pitch topical stories and segment ideas for our morning program
· Book topical guests and background extras, and coordinate requests for props/costumes
· Conduct thorough editorial research and perform fact checking to support segment accuracy
· Source and secure visual assets for segments, obtaining necessary releases in coordination with legal
· Perform other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
· Previous professional experience in television (required)
· Creative and self-starter tendencies
· Demonstrate knowledge of multiple elements of production (preferred)
· Proficiency in Microsoft 365 programs (required)
· Experience in GV Stratus and Adobe C-Suite (preferred)

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $40,000-$50,000 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
