The U.S. News & World Report Hospital Data Insights (HDI) suite of products consists of multiple web-based analytics platforms that provide subscribers instant access to a rich archive of U.S. News Best Hospitals, Best Regional Hospitals, Best Children's Hospitals rankings data. This B2B solution includes custom visualizations and exportable data sets for internal analyses and strategic planning. Our subscribers range from small hospitals to large healthcare networks, with users working in Quality Assurance, Marketing, Strategy & Planning, and more.
We are seeking a Data Product Manager with expertise in healthcare data products to drive the development and enhancement of B2B data solutions that leverage healthcare data to improve hospital operations and patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing detailed product requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring product success in a complex regulatory and technical landscape.

Product Execution
Execute the product roadmap for HDI, aligning with business objectives and market needs.
Identify and prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, data analyses, and industry trends.
Develop and maintain an understanding of healthcare data, including its structure, processing, and usage.
Requirement Gathering & Documentation
Write clear, comprehensive, and detailed product requirements documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with engineering, data analysis, and front-end development teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Ensure compliance with CMS and other healthcare regulations when defining product requirements.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams (engineering, analytics, sales, marketing, customer support) to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.
Engage with healthcare organizations to gather insights and validate product features.
Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on data and analytics, supporting go-to-market strategies and customer engagements.
Foster clear communication with internal teams and external customers, translating complex technical concepts into business value and user benefits
Data-Driven Decision Making
Leverage healthcare datasets to guide product enhancements.
Define KPIs and success metrics to measure product impact and drive continuous improvements.
Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify growth opportunities.
You should definitely have:
Three years to five years of experience in product management within healthcare technology, health insurance, or healthcare analytics.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required
Proven experience writing detailed product requirements for data-driven B2B applications.
Knowledge of healthcare claims data, including CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, DRG, NPI, and provider taxonomies.
Understanding of risk adjustment methodologies.
Experience working with SQL, data warehouses, or healthcare data platforms.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $80,000 - $120,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, interview performance, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
