Vice President, Affiliate Engagement and Network Marketing
General Job Description:
In this leadership role you will communicate with, engage, and guide network television affiliates with relevant promotional opportunities and priorities to help grow local market awareness, audiences/ratings and local ad sales (where applicable) for Weigel affiliated TV stations nationwide. You will help set affiliate promotion objectives and priorities in support of Weigel TV networks, then partner with internal company staff and local TV affiliate personnel to put the opportunities into action that help to drive local results and national goals. Additionally, this leadership role is responsible for helping to strategize, negotiate, buy, implement and audit paid off-air network marketing campaigns, partnerships, events and opportunities as identified in support of company networks. Combined with relevant professional affiliate relations, marketing and/or media buying work history at the network, studio, television group or major market station level, you will have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to help engage our affiliates and other partners with the value of promoting and collaborating with Weigel and our company networks. In this role you will report internally on various plans and priorities and then share results, metrics and relevant feedback. Working in the Network Marketing Department and reporting to the Senior Vice President, and in collaboration with Network Affiliate Relations and company senior leadership, this role is a high-level company conduit to local station partners to help them maximize the value and impact they receive as affiliates of Weigel Broadcasting Co.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Oversee all affiliate promotion priorities and planning for company networks
Oversee media buying, negotiation, plan auditing and results reporting
Oversee local affiliate media support as needed
Work with Programming on timely annual programming event calendars
Work with Affiliate Relations on prioritizing selected sales opportunities for local affiliates
Work with Network Marketing and Creative Services as they develop creative assets to support affiliate promotion
Identify, set and communicate affiliate promotion priorities
Develop and maintain continuing communication strategies and relationships across affiliates to enhance their engagement with and support for Weigel networks
Amplify Affiliate Relations communications on sales opportunities to local promotion personnel
Assign production and delivery of affiliate presentation materials and assets
Assign production and delivery of affiliate promos
Communicate with affiliates about all network promotion and marketing priorities and opportunities, report back on affiliate feedback, successes and challenges

· Network Marketing Coordinator responsible for affiliate marketing media support and other duties within Network Marketing
· Affiliate Promotion Manager for assignment of affiliate on-air promotion elements
Collaborate-
· Work with Affiliate Relations on affiliate communications and deliverables
· Work with Network Marketing, Graphics and Creative Services leaders of on strategic affiliate deliverables
· Collaborate with Senior Leadership on outside media strategy and opportunities

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $166,000-$200,000 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Requirements:Professional work experience in marketing, affiliate relations and/or media buying at a television or cable network, studio, television group or major market TV station
Media strategy, negotiation and buying experience that met delivery, efficiency and results metrics
Professional, collaborative and effective relationship and communication skills; poise in executive and professional presentations
Familiarity with strategic and creative marketing for linear TV audience development and retention

Ability to work full-time in the Chicago corporate office location
