General Job Description:

Weigel Broadcasting has an immediate opening for an Associate Producer. This role will be responsible for managing media assets, general editing and studio floor direction for our production team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Ingest, name, tag and maintain a streamlined, organized database for all current, past and future assets, including live, studio and field-based video elements on a time-sensitive basis.

Edit show segments and elements and conform existing materials for broadcast and archive.

Organizing scripts, props, and production elements for studio shoots.

Floor Directing in studio, including cues and timekeeping.

Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

Experience with Adobe Premiere is required.

Experience archiving and maintaining audio/video assets.

An understanding of broadcast audio/video basics is required (timecode, HD and SD video formats, aspect ratios etc.)

Experience with Avid iNews is preferred.

High attention to detail and strong communication skills

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $45,000-55,000 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
