Operations Supervisor

General Job Description:

Weigel Broadcasting has an immediate opening for an Operations Supervisor. They will work closely with Operations and Engineering managers and other supervisors to direct and oversee a 24/7 staff of master control.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Ensure the overall technical and operational success of the broadcast properties originated from the Chicago facility.

Work with various departments to identify and resolve issues that may affect on-air operations.

Ensure all technicians are fully trained on new and existing equipment and procedures.

Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring all incidents and equipment issues are promptly and accurately reported

Prepare technician work schedules and ensure adequate staffing of Master Control.

Position may require performing technician duties on an as-needed basis.

Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

Must have excellent interpersonal and employee relations skills.

Must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include overnights, weekends and holidays.

Must have at least 5 years of experience in a broadcast or network origination environment.

Must have at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management position.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $70,000-80,000 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
