Production Assistant
Weigel Productions is a collaborative production environment that seeks thoughtful, professional and hardworking individuals to join its creative team. Production Assistant will work closely with producers and crew to assist in the creation of multiple productions across the busy media group including non-fiction field-based format series and narrative studio-based production. The ideal candidate must be intellectually curious, strong communicator, highly organized as well as a team player who is very detail oriented, strong multi-tasker.
Duties/Responsibilities
-Oversee all props, set dressing and costumes on multiple productions in conjunction with Executive Producers
-Provide physical creative & design input for segments
-Artistically arrange props/set dressing to create an environment within the creative context established by producers/EP
-Create/design original set pieces and physical props as needed
-Source/secure props and submit expense receipts to accounting
-Prep and organize props and costumes for taping
-Maintain organized inventory of props/costumes physically and via electronic database
- Communicate with producers/writers to develop ideas, and keep on schedule
