Golin Chicago, our global headquarters, is seeking a Manager, Digital Strategist and Imagineer with experience in B2C/B2B digital and social media marketing, who excels at building brands online to drive offline impact. You’ll work with a rock-star team of account, creative, media relations, and analytics experts to create and execute marketing and communications programs for our clients. Work will include strategy development across popular social platforms, apps and voice experiences, and management of integrations and builds—from voice and AR/VR to bots. As digital avatars, you’ll help concept, sell, build and measure efforts across owned, earned and paid to drive results.

What You’ll Do:

  • Operate as a key member of the digital team, setting strategy and driving daily actionable results through social content, influencer and consumer engagement or outreach
  • Bring to life new digital and social media ideas to support larger creative ideas, based on best practices and what’s next for our industry
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the client’s digital (social/influencer/paid) landscape
  • Maintain an intermediate understanding of how our core digital competencies (including analytics, content creation, community management, customer experience, influencer engagement, web strategy and earned/owned/paid media) work together to deliver success for our clients
  • Contribute to digital program results reporting and strategy optimizations
  • Explore, understand and follow the innovation lifecycle, helping turn a new feature or tweak to a social platform, app or mobile update to a client’s next big win
  • Develop and deliver client presentations and POVs related to digital updates, program activations and optimization needs
  • Serve as day-to-day digital contact for clients
  • Quickly spot opportunities, glean insights and brainstorm action plans driving results
  • Manage, mentor and coach junior digital staff with potential to directly oversee 2-3 individuals
  • Work well under pressure, remaining calm and professional

Job Requirements

What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications  or related field with 3+ years’ experience at a digital, advertising, media or digital-focused PR agency, and a deep understanding of social and digital marketing
  • Experience working with multi-dimensional clients in both consumer and B2B categories
  • Proven skills to build brand-level social media strategies from scratch and translate them with complete digital fluency
  • Passion for uncovering the latest digital marketing and social media to fuel big ideas and the curiosity to make them happen
  • Experience developing relationships with influencers and influencer identification, management and measurement tools
  • Experience creating and planning paid social and digital campaigns across social channels such as Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn

  • An interest in not just understanding which digital and marketing strategies are effective today, but the inquisitive streak to outline what adaptations will make them even stronger tomorrow
  • Highly adaptable and ability to shift priorities in real-time to meet client needs
  • Energetic, with a deep knowledge of the mobile, social, influencer and digital marketing landscape
  • Preferred experience with social media management software (e.g. Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Spredfast). Bonus points if you know how to speak platform API.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and problem-solving skills
