, which has some 15 million readers in print and online, seeks an astute editor with superlative project-management skills to lead the print magazine’s history-themed front-of-the-book department, Prologue. The successful candidate will conceive of, assign and edit a dazzling range of brief pieces that illuminate the lessons of history for today's world. He or she will have a nose for fresh stories, a knack for inventive graphic illustrations and a roster of excellent writers. At least 5 years experience with sharp, tightly edited reported pieces is a must. A demonstrated passion for history is a plus.
