SKDKnickerbocker, the Holmes Report 2018 Public Affairs Agency of the Year, is looking for a vice president to join its technology client team in Washington, D.C. We look for people fluent in communications with a strong track record of working for tech companies or in an agency setting with tech clients. Ideal candidates are driven self-starters with the ability to grasp complex subject matter quickly and work well within teams. Candidates should have seven to ten years of relevant experience in writing, research and media intensive positions. Candidates with experience managing social and digital campaigns are preferred.
This position can be located in any of SKDK’s offices.

Previous experience working in tech, either as a journalist, in-house or at a public relations firm.
Knowledge in current technology policy issues relating to the cloud, AI, cyber and privacy.
A track record building media strategies and placing a wide range of national print and broadcast stories with technology beat reporters in addition to drafting op-eds, press releases, media advisories, Q&A, talking points, statements and other communication documents.
Experience working in rapid response media outreach with deep knowledge of the tech media landscape.
Experience leading a talented and dynamic team while cultivating a collaborative atmosphere.
Strong research and writing skills, and a strong knowledge of AP Style.
