University of Memphis Department of Journalism & Strategic Media UofM has a dynamic, ACEJMC-accredited program that works hard to offer our students cutting-edge knowledge and skills for the changing industry landscape, while retaining a strong focus on core professional values. Undergraduate programs include Advertising, Creative Mass Media, Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, Public Relations, Sports Media and Strategic Social Media. In 1995, Memphis pioneered the first online journalism/mass communication master’s program in the nation and continues to offer its M.A. and journalism and public relations B.A. degrees online as well as on campus. It boasts a robust student media operation, a new social media lab and an international exchange program in Germany. Journalism & Strategic Media is one of six departments in the College of Communication and Fine Arts.
