Someone who can quickly demonstrate their added value to our efforts in advancing early literacy, educational equity, Black higher education, trauma healing, and other life-saving missions. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Get up to speed on all accounts to help Mighty Engine continually exceed client expectations. 

• Help manage accounts, attend meetings, take notes, prepare correspondences and conduct research. 

• Contribute ideas during our creative brainstorming and strategy sessions.

• Secure photography and video footage to create compelling content that tells a story or moves people to action, behavior change or to expand their viewpoint. 

• As needed, work to identify, recruit, coordinate and direct third-party photography and video consultants.

• Plan, draft, publish and monitor content for Mighty Engine’s and our clients’ social media channels and digital advertising platforms.

• Draft, edit and proofread copy for a variety of other media products.

REQUIREMENTS

As our clients are exclusively non-profit, cause-focused boundary-breakers, candidates must have a demonstrated passion for social justice and life experiences that fuel this passion. Also: 

• Confidence to work with an extremely fast-paced, zero-drama team that effectively collaborates on a high volume of high-quality deliverables and services.

• Expertise in all aspects of video production, including storyboarding, video shooting and video editing. 

• Skilled in using Google Apps, Hootsuite or other social media management tools, Adobe Premiere and Creative Suite, and Canva and placing digital advertising on client platforms.

• Superb writing skills and interpersonal communications.

• Avid interest in researching, learning and sharing new, relevant ideas.

• Ability to work remotely and independently, but always in alignment with colleagues who are extremely talented, expressive, caring and respectful of one another.  

• Willingness to step up and work flexible hours as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Work experience in leveraging the power of branding, marketing, advertising, social media, multimedia, consumer and industry trends for good causes.
