Founded in 1951, the Nature Conservancy is a global conservation organization dedicated to conserving the lands and waters on which all life depends. Guided by science, we create innovative, on-the-ground solutions to our world's toughest challenges so that nature and people can thrive together. We are tackling climate change, conserving lands, waters and oceans at unprecedented scale, providing food and water sustainably and helping make cities more sustainable. One of our core values is our commitment to diversity. Therefore, we strive for a globally diverse and culturally competent workforce. Working in 72 countries, including all 50 United States, we use a collaborative approach that engages local communities, governments, the private sector, and other partners. Rooted in our mission and guided by our values, which include a commitment to diversity and respect for people, communities, and cultures, we know we’ll only achieve our mission by hiring and engaging a diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we work. Whether it’s career development, work/life balance, or a rewarding mission, there are lots of reasons to love life #insideTNC. Our goal is to cultivate an inclusive work environment so that all our colleagues around the globe feel a sense of belonging, and their unique contributions to our mission are valued. Our dedicated, talented and fun Arkansas staff is supported by a committed and distinguished Board of Trustees with a wide breadth of relationships and experience. The Arkansas chapter works closely with partners on conservation strategies around the state that include conserving and reforesting the Delta, restoring upland rivers, returning managed fire to historic habitats, and connecting people with nature using our network of projects and preserves. With our partners, we have helped conserve more than 325,000 acres of land and hundreds of river and stream miles. We manage timberlands, ranches, lodges and other recreational amenities for hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, floating, and climbing.
