Prism, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliate of Daily Kos. Our mission is to make visible the places, people, and issues currently underrepresented in our democracy by getting our readers to view the world slightly differently. By amplifying the voices and leadership of people who are underrepresented and underreported, Prism tells the stories no one else is telling. By centering the stories and voices of people from diverse communities, we’re challenging long-held ideas about who is a leader and what issues are important, moving us closer to a democracy that actually reflects America. We leverage Daily Kos’ unparalleled reach to educate a growing progressive readership using multiple channels, including in-depth reporting, personal storytelling, and multimedia.
