De Correspondent, a Dutch journalism platform based in Amsterdam, is a world leader in membership for journalism. The goal of De Correspondent is to serve as an antidote to the daily news grind. We feature in-depth stories produced by 21 full-time journalists who are committed to collaborating with members on their chosen beats. We launched our Amsterdam-based platform in 2013 with a record-breaking crowdfunding campaign, raising $1.7 million from some 20,000 backers. Today, we are 60,000 members strong and fiercely ad-free. That means no clickbait or daily traffic quotas, either.

Now, we are committed to bringing our journalism to a global audience by launching The Correspondent for English-language readers in the US and beyond.

As we prepare to launch our English-language version in the US, we’re looking for an NYC-based Managing Editor to build a diverse team of correspondents for The Correspondent.
