The California Sunday Magazine covers California, the West, Asia, and Latin America for a national audience. Just two years old, California Sunday has been a finalist for three National Magazine Awards, and a winner in 2016. Our features are regularly picked up by Longform, Longreads, and local and national public radio, shared widely on social media, and optioned for television and film. We also produce the acclaimed event series Pop-Up Magazine, which presents live-scored, reported, multimedia stories by writers, radio producers, photographers, and filmmakers, onstage at large venues across the country, such as BAM Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, Berkeley’s Greek Theatre, the Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, and Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco.
