Nashville Public Radio's newsroom consistently wins national awards among its public radio peers. Most of our longer stories wind up airing on national programs because WPLN has developed a reputation for high-quality work. The station has even been a key collaborator with NPR in recent years on long-term projects (examples here, here and here).
We have a newsroom committed to doing our jobs really well, with the time and resources to make it happen. We understand the demands of the daily news cycle and embrace experimentation. Our staff has diverse interests and backgrounds. And we aspire to better reflect the increasing diversity in Nashville.
We like to laugh and have full lives. We are active members of our community. That’s how we get our best story ideas.
