The University of Alaska Fairbanks Journalism Department is currently seeking one of America’s finest journalists as the C. W. Snedden Chair for the Fall 2016 semester. We are looking for award-winning journalists to teach Alaska’s future reporters. We invite enterprising professionals to join us for a semester or up to a year teaching and reporting in a land rich with untold stories. The salary is in the low $40’s for a sixteen-week semester or double for a full academic year. Relocation expenses to and from Alaska may be negotiated. The chair generally teaches a fall senior-level seminar on the public-service mission of the press followed by a second-semester course in their specialty area.
The C. W. Snedden Chair at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is endowed through a $2.6 million gift honoring the former owner and publisher of the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner.
