Fayetteville State University is a constituent institution of the University of North Carolina and the second oldest public institution of higher education in the state. Founded in 1867 as the Howard School for the education of African Americans, today FSU serves a growing student body of nearly 6,000 and ranks among the nation’s most diverse campus communities. The Department of Communication has received the Department of the Year Award in 2012-13 and 2013-14, and is one of the newest programs at the University. We have 150 majors in the BA in Communication degree program focusing on one of three concentrations in Professional Communication, Mass Communication, and Journalism. The successful candidate for the position will have the opportunity to work with both the student radio station and student television studio.
