Company Description:

Under the direction of the Director, Event Production, the Sr. Event Producer will work with multiple internal partner teams in the pre-planning and production of live and virtual events that support the work of ALSAC/St. Jude. Develop ideas, concepts, and executable plans for all assigned events and produced telecasts. This includes meeting with partners to determine their needs, managing site visits, and providing technical direction based on the partners’ vision.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.    Collaborates and consults with ALSAC, territory staff and external stakeholders while meeting production goals for live events and broadcasts. 
2.    Responsible for any daily planning, ROS creation and event broadcast needs (event prep, A/V setup) for assigned live/hybrid events and meetings. Execution will often include stage management and direct interaction with speakers, executive leadership and performers.
3.    Provides technical and creative direction for live events and broadcasts including, but not limited to, A/V, guest & talent preparation, ROS, assets & graphics. Act as show director and arranging support personnel as needed.
4.    Requests content needs with the Video and Event Content team(s). Orchestrates the final assembly of event content and assets prior to events. 
5.    Manage the onsite execution of the event. Develop workflows and responsibilities for all involved stakeholders during an event. 
6.    Serve as key point person for Event Production team and provides leadership on follow-up questions related to events. Maintains working relationships and communicates well with all levels of leadership, including VIP guests and presenters.
7.    Ability to be flexible, manage complex and fast-changing program elements, concurrent events, and prioritize effectively in response.
8.    In-house expert on video streaming options and related technologies (Zoom, Brightcove).
9.    Drive creation of live, recorded, and on-demand event content, such as Zoom webinars, event livestreams, conferences, town halls, etc.

 

Requirements:

•    Knowledge ordinarily acquired through a bachelor's degree and related field or equivalent industry experience of 6-8 years 
•    Must be accomplished in the field of hospitality or event production 
•    Must have excellent communication skills, superior organizational skills and high degree of time management 
•    2+ years technical experience with webinar/virtual stream platforms (Zoom, WebEx, Brightcove or similar), or 2+ years livestream production
•    Well-developed oral and written communication skills with all levels of staff and volunteers, including the ability to describe complex technical processes to non-technical people.
•    Persuasive and able to convey and articulate complex concepts, High-level of multi-tasking skills required
•    Travel 10% for out of town events, 40-50% local overnight events
•    Knowledge of Apple Keynote, Renewed Vision ProPresenter, Trimble Sketchup or CAD software; Adobe Creative Suite a plus
